Want to cut your carbon footprint in half? Nix the meat! Seriously? Yes, seriously. Cattle for human consumption is said to make up almost half of the pollution in our environment through the methane gas excreted during their digestion. According to onegreenplanet.com, “If just one person gave up their burgers, bacon and nuggets, that single person would save 162,486 gallons of water annually.”  If you can’t do it every day, what about once a week? If you can’t do it once a week, what about committing to once before the new year?
