We have a rule at our house. Greens at every meal. As much as I get the benefit, I haven’t necessarily LEARNED to appreciate eating a salad for breakfast. Just sayin.

But rules are rules…that I intend to bend. Here’s a smoothie that’s clutch in your morning routine!  It tastes like a starburst with the nutritional value of a superfood drink. Call me Popeye… stay a way Brutus.

Spinach Smoothie

SPINACH IQ:

SPINACH IS A SUPER FOOD. DARK LEAFY GREENS ARE VITAL FOR SKIN, HAIR AND BONE HEALTH, THEY ALSO PROVIDE PROTEIN, IRON, VITAMINS AND MINERALS.

Smooth(ie) Operator

Fill your blender with:

3 cups fresh spinach
1 cup mango frozen
1 cup pineapple frozen
4 fresh or frozen figs
1/2 strawberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
4 cups coconut water

Blend adding ice as needed.
This makes 4 smoothies
