1.    Optic Neuropathy

2.    Glaucoma

Another eye-related disease is glaucoma, which is a form of optic neuropathy, where the optic nerve is damaged due to pressure placed on the eye. Treatment options for glaucoma may include medications and surgeries to reduce the pressure on the eye. Some researchers have found that consuming extra amounts of vitamin B-12 can decrease problems of vision loss and stabilize visual acuity in people. 

3.    Age-related Macular Degeneration

In age-related macular degeneration, the center of the retina is found damaged and it affects adults who are aging with no cure to be found. Treatments for these conditions are available; however, researchers are doing their part in preventing the disease in the first place. A combination of B vitamins that include folate, B6, and B12 when taken daily, can lower the risk of developing macular degeneration in women. 

4.    Cataract

As we age, the lens inside your eye becomes cloudy and results in decreased visual acuity. This cloudy lens, or cataract, can be removed with surgery with the help of an artificial lens.
